Welcome to Southern Ohio Botanicals! We are excited to announce that starting Tuesday, 8/6/2024, anyone over the age of 21 with a valid driver’s license or state ID can make a purchase at our dispensary. As we transition to Adult-Use sales, we want to ensure your visit is smooth and enjoyable. Please review the following guidelines to be fully prepared for your trip.

Preparing for Your Visit

1. Valid Identification Required:

To purchase Adult-Use marijuana, you must present a valid, unexpired driver’s license or state ID. If you have a paper form ID, you must bring the expired hard copy with holes punched in it. We cannot accept photos or digital copies. This is a strict Ohio regulation.

2. Age Requirement:

Only customers aged 21 and over can purchase Adult-Use marijuana. There are no exceptions to this rule.

3. Medical Patients: 

If you are a medical patient, you have the option to purchase as either a Med patient or a Rec customer, but not both in a single visit. If you wish to switch from Med to Rec during your visit, you must return to the lobby, rejoin the line, and check in again as a Rec customer.

Tips to Minimize Wait Time

1. Bring Cash:

We highly recommend bringing cash to expedite your checkout process. Our debit readers have a $500 limit and a $3.50 fee, and we round transactions to the nearest $10, providing you with the difference in cash. Additionally, some banks may charge their own fees. Cash is the simplest and quickest payment method.

2. Returns Policy:  

We only accept returns on defective items, such as leaking carts or broken batteries, with a receipt, original packaging, and within 30 days of purchase. We do not accept returns for items you didn’t like or that didn’t work for you. For non-defective issues, please contact the cultivator directly.

3. Pricing:

We do not control the pricing of the products we sell; the brands set their own prices. If you have pricing concerns, feel free to reach out to the cultivator. Our employees pay the same prices as our customers.

Purchasing Limits and Product Availability

4. Daily Purchase Limits:

Adult-Use customers can purchase a maximum of 1 ounce of flower per day. Here’s the breakdown:

  • 1 ounce (28.3g) of flower
  • 2 half ounces (14.15g) of flower
  • 3 eighths (8.49g) of flower
  • 5 quarters (5.66g) of flower
  • 10 eighths (2.83g) of flower

Additionally, you may purchase up to 10 edibles, tinctures, capsules, beverages, infusion powders, or topicals, each with a 100/110mg limit. For vapes, including disposables, cartridges, and luster pods, you can buy up to 10 units, with specific limits depending on the total THC percentage.

5. Product Availability:

Not all products will be available initially. Cultivators must obtain dual licenses for us to sell their products both medically and Adult-Use. As a result, some products familiar to medical patients may be temporarily unavailable until those licenses are granted.
